Light for the Last Days

Murder in the Cathedral?

A disco was held in Canterbury Cathedral on 8th February, attended by some 3000 people. The UNESCO World Heritage Site was fitted with bars, strobe lighting, and 90s music played all night long. The Church plans on holding more events in the Cathedral over the coming months, which they say is an attempt to evangelise people.

The event has been deemed “profane” by Cajetan Skowronski who has organised a petition against it.  He said the Cathedral is a sacred building and should not be used for discos with alcohol and profane lyrics being played. He had a meeting with the Dean of Canterbury Cathedral about this, at which the Dean said, ‘Look I’m not naïve, I know this isn’t going to evangelize people’.  Skowronski writes: “He [the Dean] felt forced to justify it that it was good on a community outreach level – I don’t think anybody is buying that. It’s not going to bring people into the church. The people who went to the disco aren’t going to turn up on Sunday for the service.”

Disco party goers at Canterbury Cathedral

Lately there have been a series of silent discos taking place in cathedrals and historic buildings around the UK and Europe. “I love the idea of people dancing on a Saturday night and praying on a Sunday morning. I think we can do both,” the Reverend Jessica Fellows told BBC Newsbeat. The “disco-loving” vicar is a self-proclaimed Harry Styles fan who uses her church to organise silent discos as well as beer and carols events. “The more the merrier. We need people to come in and have fun – it’s not all boring and serious,” she says. “The church is meant to be a creative place.   We think, how could we host more silent discos or places where people could connect? You never know, they might ask some big questions about who God is, and that’s what I’d love to see happen.”

Canterbury Cathedral is famous for the 12th century murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket by King Henry II’s knights. The issue which led to this murder was Becket’s defence of the rights and privileges of the church against the power of the secular state headed by the monarch.

Now we have the secular world imposing itself upon a hapless church which has abandoned the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and is opening itself up to the powers of darkness. The only answer is to preach the authentic Gospel, calling people inside and outside the church buildings to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day.

What happened in Canterbury Cathedral on 8th February 2024 is another Murder in the Cathedral, potentially more serious than the one which happened on 29th December 1170.

AI, chip implants and world government

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has claimed his Neuralink company has successfully implanted one of its wireless brain chips in a human.

In a post on X, Musk said “promising” brain activity had been detected after the procedure and the patient was “recovering well”. The company’s goal is to connect human brains to computers to help tackle complex neurological conditions. A number of rival firms have already implanted similar devices.

“For any company producing medical devices, the first test in humans is a significant milestone,”

Professor Anne Van Hoestenberghe of King’s College London

While this has been used solely for medical purposes there are those who wish to extend the use of such implants. World Economic Forum (WEF) founder and chairman, Klaus Schwab, announced plans for a “new world” that will “transition humankind into a new era” at the World Government Summit in Dubai (12-14 February) which had as its theme ‘Shaping Future Governments’. According to Schwab, the WEF’s plans for the “new world” involve a “fusion between our physical, our digital, and our biological dimensions.”  He declared that, once the scheme has been rolled out globally, a “new era” of “humanocracy” will be ushered in.

Elsewhere during the event, Schwab gave a dedicated address “Civilizations of Tomorrow: Built to Fail or Rise?”, where he laid out the WEF’s plans to world leaders. He proposed a new “Intelligent Age” driven by what he has repeatedly described as a “Fourth Industrial Revolution.”

“We first had the transition about a hundred years ago from the agricultural society to the industrial society, but today we speak about transitioning into what I would call ‘The Intelligent Age,‘”

Klaus Schwab

He stated,

“Humankind will enjoy many more opportunities and possibilities,” in this fusion with technology. “We don’t want to move into using the Fourth Industrial Revolution into a cold bureaucracy; we don’t want to move into a technocracy; we want to move into what I would call a ‘Humanocracy’”

Klaus Schwab

In a bizarre section of the speech, Schwab recalled a “conversation” he had with ChatGPT. He said that the AI-powered chatbot told him:

“Envisioning a future propelled by the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution we see a NEW DAWN of human civilization — one that harmonizes technology with the deepest needs and aspirations of humanity. This mission unfolds within a society where artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, 3D-printing, genetic engineering, quantum computing become the foundations of our daily life, yet are guiding by a profound respect for human values, creativity, and the natural world.”

Schwab-ChatGPT conversation

The “Fourth Industrial Revolution” touted by Schwab is a key element of his “Great Reset” agenda. The plan involves eliminating capitalism and replacing elected governments with unelected bureaucrats and corporate elites. The WEF’s vision sees vast numbers of the human workforce replaced by AI-driven machines.

However, Schwab and his WEF allies have admitted that this agenda will create a new “useless class of humans” who will “no longer be needed” in the “new world.”

This “problem” has led to calls from WEF members for mass depopulation.

One of the WEF’s agenda architects has called for an 86% global reduction in population numbers to ensure the global elite can “have freedom” and a “high standard of living” by placing a 1 billion cap on the number of humans on Earth.

A celebrated member of the globalist World Economic Forum (WEF) has called for a staggering 86 percent reduction in the population of humans, arguing that the goal can be achieved “peacefully.” The call was made by Dennis Meadows, one of the main authors of the Club of Rome’s 1972 pro-depopulation book “The Limits to Growth.”

Meadows is an honorary member of the Club of Rome and a member of the World Economic Forum.  Meadows argues that most of the world’s population must be wiped out so that the survivors can “have freedom” and a “high standard of living.”

Another WEF member argues that a 90% reduction in the global population of humans would solve globalists’ “problems” and “help” them achieve their “Net Zero” goals.  English anthropologist Jane Goodall, who the WEF lists as one of its “agenda contributors,” told her fellow globalists that they could “save the planet” from “global warming” if the Earth’s population was 90 percent smaller than it is today.

Goodall argues that all of the WEF’s “problems” would be solved if fewer humans were walking the Earth. She made the statement during a panel discussion at the organisation’s annual summit in Davos, Switzerland.

The panel was discussing plans for achieving “Net Zero” to comply with the targets for “Agenda 2030” as dictated by the WEF and its fellow unelected globalist organisation – the United Nations.

War on farming

A silent war is taking place on our ability to produce food to feed ourselves, in the name of saving the world from alleged climate change. John Kerry, US Climate Czar, has said that 30% of greenhouse gases said to be contributing to global warming are released through agriculture.  This is being linked to the charge of ‘Ecocide’, a term used by Britain’s Jojo Mehta, founder of Stop Ecocide International, at the WEF summit in Davos. She stated that ecocide needs to become a punishable offence, beginning with a war on farming and fishing.

The EU has begun to bring this into action, with its ‘Farm to Fork Strategy’, which the European Commission describes as being ‘at the heart of the European Green Deal, aiming to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally friendly.’

The problem is that it has created a huge backlash from farmers in Germany, France, the Netherlands and across the EU, who say that it is driving them out of business. Amongst other things it requires 10% of farmland to be put out of use for farming (i.e. for rewilding), 50% ‘chemical plant protection’, which means limiting use of fertilisers and no use of nitrogen, and 25% of land only used for organic farming. This requires twice the space for half the harvest. Farmers say these measures drastically reduce the amount of food they can produce on their land.

Add to this the massive amounts of paperwork forced on farmers which prevent them from doing the job and the elimination of tax breaks on fuel for farmers and you have reasons for the growing revolt of farmers against the EU bureaucrats. While some of the most dramatic protests have been in France, similar action has been taking place in a host of countries including Italy, Spain, Romania, Poland, Greece, Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands. Farmers have protested outside the EU parliament, calling on them to scrap the environmental regulations imposed by the leadership in Brussels.

Sandi Adams has done in-depth research into the United Nations’ agenda and how it is being rolled out globally. In an interview on Colchester Council Watch she describes how the UN Agenda 2030 is affecting farmers globally and causing the protests around the EU.

In England, farmers are being run into the ground and they’re under a lot of pressure, Adams said,

“But the worst pressure they’ve been under is a man from the ministry has visited all the farms and has said, ‘Look over the next three years your subsidies incrementally are going to be cut unless you diversify and you stop farming meat [and] dairy’ … So, sheep farming, beef farming and dairy farming has to be cut,” Adams said.  “They have said, ‘You will have to diversify and set up businesses on your farm’ … anything but farming. So, it’s a way of corporatising farms.”

Sandi Adams YouTube Video

In a September 2021 report, three UN agencies called on governments around the world to “reappraise and reorganise their support for their farming sectors.” The report targeted meat, dairy, pesticides and monocultures. It called on developed countries to reconsider support “for an outsized meat and dairy industry, which accounts for 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions.” It also urges less developed countries’ governments to “consider repurposing their support for toxic pesticides and fertilizers or the growth of monocultures.” The conclusion is that farmers will be pressured into producing less food on their land in the interest of saving the world from climate change.

But it’s not just farmers. A study from the University of Michigan claims that homegrown foods produce five times more carbon emissions than industrial farming methods. In other words, private gardens could be considered a threat to the environment. The study includes analysis of various gardens from individual family plots to urban and community plots (allotments) and claims that “garden infrastructure” for individual plots contribute far greater carbon pollution than large scale farming.

The average person might be confused by this and assume the opposite is true – Wouldn’t growing foods at home be BETTER for the environment? Not if your funding relies on portraying independent food supplies as bad for the planet. The study is bankrolled by a host of international groups, including the European Union’s Horizon Program which lists “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030” as one of its project goals. These 100 cities are then supposed to act as flagship models for the eventual carbon agenda takeover of all cities by 2050. The study itself does not necessarily argue that people should stop gardening, but it does push the narrative that carbon controls are necessary, even at an individual level.

Leftists and globalists do not care about protecting your health; they care about how these studies can be used to fear monger, thus increasing their power. In other words, if you can rig the science, then you can rig the laws. We saw something similar to this in a UN study in 2006 which claimed that meat production contributed to nearly 20% of all carbon emissions and was worse for the environment than transportation. The study was exposed in 2010 as “flawed”, but for years the media and globalist organizations used its false conclusions as a springboard to demand limitations and bans on meat production in the name of saving the climate.

If you think the war on farming which is raging right now in Europe is only intended to affect industrial farms, think again. The establishment is going to try to use the man-made climate change lie to dictate ALL food production, right down to your unassuming backyard garden.

This is really what the globalist “net zero” programs and 15-minute cities are all about. They are based on the idea that all human activity needs to be monitored and managed. They say it’s for the good of the planet, but the systems they want to put in place from 2030 to 2050 sound like a new digital feudalism, a society where bureaucracies track and trace and micromanage every aspect of your life. The elites benefit greatly while never proving that carbon emissions are a danger to anyone.

Why the obsessive focus on food? Because if people have their own food, then they might be more willing to rebel against further mandates. It’s really that simple. The end game is obvious – Control the food, and you control the world. Do it in the name of saving the planet and a lot of people will even thank you as you starve them.

Danger of Disease X

The World Economic Forum’s (WEF) annual meeting gave centre stage to their unelected health counterparts to warn about a non-existent virus that they claim could be twenty times worse than COVID. The WEF and World Health Organisation are priming “Disease X” in the final push for the Pandemic Treaty and are joining forces to persuade world leaders to relinquish their sovereignty in preparation for an as yet non-existent virus they claim “could result in 20 times more fatalities than the coronavirus pandemic.”

Could this be the “pandemic that will get everyone’s attention” that Bill Gates warned of and is it the time Bill Gates’s “Final Solution” is ushered in?

In his book, ‘Chaos’, Michael Snyder writes:

‘In Matthew 24 Jesus said there would be pestilences during the period just before His return. According to Jesus, we should expect multiple pestilences during this timeframe. During the past several years we’ve already seen Covid and monkeypox, and bird flu has killed more than 100 million chickens and turkeys in the United States and Europe combined.  But if you think what we have experienced so far is the worst case scenario you are greatly mistaken.  Scientists in secret labs all over the planet are messing around with the deadliest bugs ever known to humanity. NBC News reported that an illegal unlicensed laboratory in Fresno, California, owned by a shadowy Chinese company was doing some pretty crazy things. When authorities entered the facility, they discovered that it was full of live mice, medical waste and hazardous materials, including thousands of vials that contained various infectious agents. In addition to malaria, they found chlamydia, ecoli, streptococcus, pneumonia, hepatitis B and C, herpes 1 and 5 and rubella in the secret lab. In addition they also found 900 mice that were genetically engineered to catch and carry the COVID-19 virus.’

A gospel-phobic church

Dr Campbell Campbell-Jack writes on the website https://anglican.ink/2024/01/24/a-gospelphobic-church/ :

‘Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury and captain of the good ship Anglican, having steered the ship onto the rocks, is bailing furiously in an attempt to stop the vessel from sinking. His officers, meanwhile, can only give one order: ‘Full steam ahead!’. Meanwhile, most of the deckhands have taken to the lifeboats or jumped into the cold, cold water, deserting the sinking ship however they can. The few remaining tenacious crew-members left behind are frantically trying to persuade the officers to alter course and patch the leaks.
All this despite the crying need of the great majority of Brits to hear the unvarnished gospel. All this despite the longing of those few continuing to attend services in the CofE for worship which connects with their lives rather than the concerns of the editors of The Guardian and Pink News. Meantime, despite the evidence of danger to the Church, the officers keep on insisting, ‘Those aren’t rocks, it is clear calm water ahead.’

Dr Campbell Campbell-Jack

The latest issue causing widespread debate is that of the Anglican evangelical mission body, the Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS). CPAS was founded with the “conviction that a primary calling of local churches is to enable those who are far from Christ to be reconciled to Him, and that CPAS could help resource churches to that end.” This they have been doing with considerable success for nearly 200 years. Countless lives have been impacted by the work of CPAS in and with local churches.

Unfortunately, today they are the latest casualty in the war against the Bible being mounted by ‘progressive’ Christians. CPAS aroused the wrath of Anglican Progressives when they aligned with EA’ statement on human sexuality which said

“We welcome and support the work of those individuals and organisations who responsibly seek to help Christians who experience same-sex attraction as in conflict with their commitment to live in accordance with biblical teaching.”

Church Pastoral Aid Society

In other words, helping homosexuals to quit same sex attraction and live in accordance with Bible teaching.

This brought the predictable accusations of ‘homophobia’ and ‘hate’ from progressive Christians, with the unfounded assertion that CPAS had endorsed conversion therapy. This despite the fact that ‘affirmation 8’ goes on,

“This help will involve counsel and pastoral support to live a chaste life and, as part of this process, some may seek and experience changes in the strength or direction of their same-sex attractions.”

One could almost hear the gasps of horror as the gospel-phobic ecclesiastical elites clutched their pearls at the thought of evangelical Christians having the temerity to adhere to biblical doctrines. The Rev Colin C Coward, MBE, CofE priest and director of Changing Attitude, commenting in ‘Thinking Anglicans’, writes,

Friends in CPAS, your Biblical theology is homophobic and prejudiced and abusive of LGBTQIA+ people in church and society. I do not recognise your theology as Christian – Biblical maybe, but not Christian – not all Biblical theology is Christian.

Rev Colin C Coward

There we have the nub of the matter: our woke ecclesiastics want a theology which countenances the Word of God only when His Word agrees with what they want anyway.

Scripture must appear before the bar of their desires and either conform or be found guilty and dismissed. When they say that evangelicals are a threat to the Church, what they really mean is that evangelicals are a threat to the ecclesiastical elites’ self-regarding rule of the Church and their imposition of a modern non-biblical ideology onto the millennia-old theology of the Church.
