Meanwhile, the threat of radical Islam spreading in the West Bank, the Arab Muslim world, and even here in the West is increasing. We have radical Islamists using the anti-Israel demos to recruit people, especially young people to their cause, also calling for a Jihad against the infidel West, attacking not only Jews in cities like London and New York, but also those who stand by them.
A couple of weeks ago, Barbara and I went to a meeting with some Jewish friends and the local MP, whose name is Mike Freer about defending Jews and against anti-Semitism in the area. Mike Freer spoke very well about the subject.
I have my issues with Mike Freer, but on this issue he spoke very well and he stood up for the Jewish people and has done so publicly before.
The headline in the Jewish Chronicle this week says that Mike Freer is now fearing for his life because of his stand for Israel.
And it’s becoming quite dangerous. In fact, even we could be putting ourselves in danger when we put out this kind of information, and this because of the growing hostility and the growing attack upon Israel.
If you’re going around with your little badges in support of Israel, you could also be putting yourself in line for hostility from those people who don’t like Israel.
We’re living in a very dangerous times, and we have some very dangerous forces which are being unleashed. Basically, they’re spreading their propaganda against not just Israel but also calling for submission to Islam.
There are actually about 1.8 billion Muslims in the world. That’s about a quarter of the entire global population and they’re probably going to play a major role in the growing chaos of the last days.
So, this war in the Middle East is not the end of the story. Instead, it could be just the beginning.
We’re seeing so many things happening which are pushing us towards the end time conflict. The Hamas charter actually says:
The Hamas Charter does not only call for the obliteration of Israel, Islam also wants to obliterate the Western way of life and Christianity.
So, should we be worried about it? Yes, you should! You should actually be worried, but don’t be terrified.
A lot of people are talking about islamophobia. I’m not preaching islamophobia because a phobia is an irrational fear. It’s not irrational to have some concerns about these guys because they have have some pretty dangerous intentions.
The God of the Bible is against them. He’s on the side of those who stand for Israel and those who stand for His truth, and of course, on the side of those who stand for Jesus the Messiah.
If you take the Bible literally then the rebirth of Israel is the sign of the budding of the fig tree that Jesus spoke about as a sign of his return in Luke’s Gospel chapter 21, verse 28 it says:
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
29 Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.Luke 21.28-30
So, when you see the rebirth of Israel, you see it’s a sign of the Second Coming of the Messiah.
We began by talking about Jewish people looking for the coming of the Messiah. We believe it’s the coming again of the Messiah.
And you’re seeing these things happening which are signs of the coming again of the Messiah: Israel’s life National life being restored is what the victory represents: the National Life of Israel was scattered, now it’s being reborn.
But it’s been contested and now it’s reaching its peak and things are being set in motion which will lead to climactic events of the last days.
How long will it take? And in what order will it take place? It remains to be seen. There are certain things which the Bible says will happen in the last days. One of them is the War of Gog and Magog when an alliance of nations comes down from the north against Israel and is supernaturally destroyed by God.
Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you.
18 “And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God, “that My fury will show in My face. 19 For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, 20 so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’ 21 I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God. “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” ’Ezekiel 38
There’ll also be a false peace treaty. Daniel speaks about that some kind of a peace covenant which be set up for seven years which will break down halfway through and lead not just to not to peace but the final conflict and the Second Coming of Jesus.
therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:
24 “Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.
25 “Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.
26 “And after the sixty-two weeksDaniel 9.23-27
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”
