Global ID and the Cashless society

The next generation of children born in Britain ‘will not know what money is’, Tim Cook, chief executive of Apple, has predicted. Speaking to students in Dublin, he forecast the death of cash by the time current university students have a family.

Cash is still used for more than half of payments by consumers, according to Payments UK, the industry body, but its popularity is falling as people switch to cards and Smartphone apps such as Apple Pay and Google Wallet. People can now use the ‘tap and go’ technology for any transaction under £30, making it more likely to be used in restaurants and shops as well as cafes and newsagents. Banks and companies such as Apple have an incentive to promote such messages because they earn money when people use a credit card or alternative payment system to pay.

The Nordic countries are leading the way in ‘cashlessness’. Denmark has introduced legislation that businesses are no longer legally bound to accept cash payments, forcing people to use cards for all transactions. In Sweden banks and the government are already discouraging cash transactions taking steps to limit cash withdrawals by removing ATMs in rural areas. In addition, banks will call the police if they feel you are using too much cash. A Swedish bank robber left empty-handed, after he found out that the Stockholm bank he held up did not carry any cash! Other countries, including Italy, Spain and France are also restricting large cash transactions. In Greece they made it illegal to pay any bill over €70 in cash due to their financial crisis while also severely limiting the amount of cash withdrawals one can make on a daily basis.

The global establishment increasingly views a ‘cashless society’ as the answer to many political and social woes. Many countries are touting the economic benefits of such a system, such as an end to the underground economy, armed robberies, tax evasion and the cost of printing money while producing a more efficient and controlled system through the central banks – the ultimate winner in a digital economy. The central banks love the idea of an end to cash as it would mean an end to bank runs – people will not be able to pull their money out for political reasons, which seem increasingly to occur in our society.

The amount of control these central banks would have over the digital economy is scary as all payments and transactions would create a permanent record for governments to track and inspect at will. In a cashless world there is no place to hide. It also opens up the possibility that a dictatorial government could control what you spend and how you spend it.

The latest example of such manipulation comes from China where the government is assigning ‘citizen scores’ that merge your access to government loans and grants with your political and social activities. The worst part of this new policy is that your citizenship score can be directly affected by the beliefs and actions of family and friends as well — creating an incredible social pressure to conform… or else. If you are considered a dissident by the government you will find your economic opportunities severely limited.

Only within a digital economy is such strict control possible. This centralised control by an autocratic authority where citizens are totally subject to an absolute state authority via financial controls is the ultimate form of economic totalitarianism. Who needs military enforcement of policies the people don’t like when you can just impose financial penalties or restrict one’s bank account entirely? Who is going to step out of line to risk their economic vitality when it not only affects you but your loved ones as well?

For this system to work you need to have a fool-proof means of verifying a person’s identity. The United Nations wants to have biometric identification cards in the hands of every single man, woman and child on the entire planet to ‘provide legal identity for all, including birth registration by 2030.’ The UN is already working hard toward the implementation of this goal, particularly among refugee populations. It is partnering with a company called Accenture to implement a biometric identification system which is able to identify and track refugees. The system will work in conjunction with Accenture’s Unique Identity Service Platform (UISP) to send this information back to a central database in Geneva, allowing UNHCR offices all over the world to effectively coordinate with the central UNHCR authority in tracking refugees. This ‘universal ID,’ which grabs the biometric data of refugees, is just a starting point for the United Nations. The goal is to eventually bring all people into the massive data bank.

The most effective way to make sure that a ‘universal ID’ cannot be stolen, forged or lost is to have the ID implanted or tattooed onto a person’s body. With this in mind take a look at a short film made by Regina Dugan, a former director of DARPA, an agency of the US Department of Defence, responsible for the development of emerging technologies for use by the military. DARPA has been described by many as one of the key companies behind the formation of the infrastructure that will provide the foundation for a one world government. She describes with confidence the coming DARPA and Google developments which are working on the technology of ‘wearables’, electronic tattoos which have antenna and sensors on them and which can prove the best way for ‘authentication’ through your body. She shows one tattooed onto her arm and says these are due for launch in 2017

Students of the Bible have long warned of a cashless society with some kind of wearable ID or mark as part of the Antichrist’s plan for ultimate control over mankind (Revelation 13). In this situation the ‘encouragement’ to go cashless will one day become mandatory so that no one will be able to buy or sell unless they have a mark of allegiance, the 666 ‘mark of the beast’. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. Revelation 13.16-18.

War comes to Europe

‘France is at war,’ President Francois Hollande said after the ISIS terror attack in Paris on November 13th in which at least 129 people were killed. In response French fighter jets launched their biggest raids in Syria to date on, targeting the Islamic State’s stronghold in the city of Raqqa, in coordination with U.S. forces. Russia too vowed to take revenge on IS after it was confirmed that it was a bomb that brought down the Russian airliner over Sinai. David Cameron has gained parliamentary approval for Britain to join in bombing IS in Syria.

Islamic State warned in a new video on 16th November that countries taking part in air strikes against Syria would suffer the same fate as France. The message to countries involved in what it called the ‘crusader campaign’ was delivered by a man identified as Al Ghareeb the Algerian. ‘We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that you will have a day, Allah willing, like France’s and as we struck France in the centre of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its centre in Washington. I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before.’

At the moment the terrorists struck the Bataclan concert hall in Paris, the American rock band, ‘Eagles of Death Metal’, were performing. Incredibly the song they had started singing was ‘Who’ll love the Devil?’ which has the words, ‘Who’ll love the Devil? Who’ll sing his song? … I’ll love the Devil, I’ll sing his song, I will love the Devil and his song … I will kiss the Devil on his tongue.’ Pictures taken before the attack show a crowd of happy looking young people making the devil sign with their hands as the band played. As Europe is under attack from demonically inspired Islamic terrorists, the debased culture of the western world is summoning up the powers of darkness and inviting the antichrist into its midst.

Nearly a million people have applied for asylum in Germany in 2015 with no end in sight to the huge numbers pouring in. The refugee crisis is creating tensions in affected regions. Across Eastern Europe countries have been putting up barbed wire frontiers to keep the migrants out, while in western Europe the free travel zone Schengen agreement is under threat as countries reintroduce border controls to try to control the influx of migrants. Germany and Sweden are struggling to cope with housing and social needs of the huge number of migrants coming in. Opposition to the migration is causing rising social tensions. In France the connection between Syrian migrants and the terrorist attacks in Paris have added to the anti-migrant and anti-EU mood, giving the far right Front Nationale its highest vote ever in regional elections. In Britain fears over immigration are adding to the numbers of people likely to vote to leave the EU in the coming referendum on this subject.

Martin Schultz, the head of the European Parliament, said that the European Union is ‘at risk of falling apart over the next 10-years due to the migrant crisis, which has stretched Europe’s unity and many of its member countries’ tolerance this year.’ He warned that a removal of the free-movement Schengen zone could return Europe to a continent ‘in which nationalism, borders and walls were prevalent.’ He said, ‘That would be disastrous because that kind of Europe has repeatedly led our continent into catastrophe.’

EU leaders have held a series of high level meetings to seek to resolve the crisis, but none have worked so far. The latest proposal is to offer Turkey €3bn (£2.1bn) and political concessions in return for clamping down on its borders and keeping refugees in the country. Talks on Turkey’s accession to the European Union will also be revived and Turkish citizens may be able to travel without visas in Europe’s Schengen zone, which allows free movement between many European countries, by October 2016.

The likelihood that this will solve the problem is zero. Turkey is home to 75 million Muslims, has borders with Syria, Iraq and Iran and is therefore this would be an invitation to visa free migration of millions more Muslims into Europe. Turkey is governed by Recip Erdogan, who is an Islamist sympathetic to the aims of the Muslim Brotherhood. If this scheme goes ahead it would increase the Islamisation of Europe. It would also extend the territory of the EU into the eastern leg of the Roman Empire which would be significant in line with the view that the EU is the revived Roman Empire of biblical prophecy (Revelation 13, 17.7-18). On the other hand the possibility, raised by Martin Schultz, of Europe falling apart would mark the end of this view.

What Europe needs is a man with a plan. Paul-Henri Spaak, one of the founders of the EU, once said, ‘We do not want another committee, we have too many already. What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people, and to lift us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us such a man, and be he god or devil, we will receive him.’ If the EU is the beast kingdom of Revelation, then we should expect that such a man is waiting in the wings.

Terror against Israel

Israel is in the grip of a terror offensive as Palestinians have been attacking Israelis with knives and driving their cars at them. Between September 13 and November 30, 2015, 22 Israelis have been killed and 215 wounded.

The attacks began after false accusations that Israel was defiling the Al Aqsa Mosque (on the site of the former Jewish Temple in Jerusalem). Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has been telling his people that Israel was planning to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and ‘change the Arab and Islamic character and identity’ of Jerusalem. He condemned Jews for ‘defiling the Aqsa Mosque with their filthy feet.’ Radical Islamist and terrorist elements are calling on Palestinian youth to murder Jews. Statements by Fatah and Hamas have described the attacks as ‘heroic actions’ and ‘the natural response to Israel’s crimes’. All of this makes the possibility of a ‘peace settlement’ even more remote. According to a recent poll the majority of Palestinians don’t want a ‘two state solution’ as proposed by US, EU and UN. They want a new ‘intifada’ to replace the whole of Israel with a Palestinian state — preferably, one that now would be ruled by Hamas and jihadi organisations such as Islamic State and Al-Qaeda. Their problem is not with ‘settlements’ or ‘poor living conditions,’ but with Israel’s existence. A majority believes that Israel can — and should — be destroyed.

After the Paris attacks, Netanyahu said, ‘The time has come for countries to condemn terrorism against us to the same degree that they condemn terrorism everywhere else in the world.’ However most of the world does not condemn terrorism against Israel but often supports it and turns its condemnation on Israel. In fact the French government pays millions of Euros every year to Palestinian NGOs whose stated goal is to destroy Israel, thus helping to finance the radicalisation of Palestinian society. Just two days before the Paris attacks, Netanyahu took the European Union to task for setting new guidelines for special labelling of goods produced by Israelis in the West Bank, Golan Heights and Jerusalem, which is widely viewed in Israel as a precursor to an economic boycott of Israel. He said, ‘The EU has decided to label only Israel, and we are not prepared to accept the fact that Europe is labelling the side that is being attacked by terrorism.’

The world generally does not care about what happens to Israel and sides with those seeking to destroy her. But the Lord does care. Jeremiah prophesied a time when Israel will hear ‘a voice of trembling, of fear and not of peace’. This is the time of Jacob’s trouble, ‘but he shall be saved out of it’ (Jeremiah 30.4-7). At this time the Lord says, ‘For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, because they have called you an outcast saying, ‘It is Zion for whom no one cares.’ Jeremiah 30.17.

The items in this magazine point us to the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now is the time to be ready for this event by repenting of your sins and putting your trust in the Lord Jesus, so you can be ready for His coming.

Here is a prayer to accept salvation in Jesus’ name: ‘Dear Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus the Messiah died in my place, shedding His blood to pay for my sins, and that He rose again from the dead to give me eternal life. I am willing right now to turn from my sin and accept Jesus the Messiah as my personal Saviour and Lord. I commit my life to you and ask you to send the Holy Spirit into my life, to fill me and to take control and to help me become the kind of person you want me to be. Thank you Father for loving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.`
